Here is an opportunity to provide cutting-edge telephone prospecting training to your sales reps, AND contribute to the Miracle League of Arizona, which is building a uniquely-designed baseball field in Scottsdale for kids with special needs.

For the winning auction bidder, I will personally customize and deliver a one-day telephone prospecting workshop at a location of your choice, between now and the end of 2010. This new workshop is based on my new book, Smart Calling™-Eliminate the Fear, Failure, and Rejection from Cold Calling (release date: March 2010).

For my clients, the investment in a customized one-day program like this is $9,000 plus workbooks and my travel expenses. For this special auction, beginning on November 8, and concluding on November 18, 2009 at 12 noon Central time, we have set a reserve price of $4500, and a "Buy it Now " price of $10,000. The auction will be run through Ebay, and your payment will be made through The Harmon Killebrew Foundation, a nonprofit 501c3 organization. (NONE of this money will go to me.)

The Cause
On November 17 (which also happens to be my 50th birthday) I am playing in a celebrity charity golf event, The Harmon Killebrew Golf Masters, benefiting the Miracle League of Arizona. (I am not one of the celebrities,
by the way. In fact, I am paying for half of a foursome to play.) I was also asked to donate an auction item. Well, as many of you know, I am a huge sports nut, particularly baseball, and also coached kids baseball and softball teams when my own children were growing up. After learning more about this charity, my decision to donate something big was a no-brainer.

The Miracle League of Arizona removes the barriers that keep children with mental and physical disabilities off the baseball field and enables them to fully enjoy America's favorite pastime. A barrier for these children arises from the natural grass fields used in conventional youth leagues, Miracle League teams play on a specially designed, rubberized turf field that accommodates wheelchairs, walkers and is designed to help prevent injuries and promote fun!

The Miracle League is constructing a wonderful new state-of-the-art field for these special-needs players not far from my house in Scottsdale. In addition to the special turf, the field will have a large scoreboard, announcer's booth, and concession area. There will be an adaptive playground and picnic area. Their vision is to create a family atmosphere that accommodates and respects the needs of any special needs child.

You and I will play a small role in making big dreams come true for these special kids.


The Training Workshop

You will receive the same type of training workshop that my clients pay $9000 (plus expenses) for. In fact, if you are a client now, or were already considering training, this is a great opportunity to also have your investment do more-than-double-duty by having it contributed to this great cause.

My new program, Smart Calling™-Eliminate the Fear, Failure, and Rejection from Cold Calling, based upon my new book to be released next March, will show your sales reps how to be successful in their telephone prospecting, without experiencing that morale-killing "rejection."

Actually, I will not just show them how to do it, together we will apply the Smart Calling™ process as reps build their own successful prospecting calls.

We will cover,

-how to "Smarten" up calls so you never will place a "cold" call again. You'll see where and how to collect intelligence before calls so you know something about the companies and individuals, and are not perceived as the typical cold caller.

- the 20 mistakes most common mistakes made in the openings of their prospecting calls and voice mails that ensure resistance

I will customize and tailor this program, just like I do all of my training programs, of which I've done over 1200 of the past 26 years. This includes listening to recordings of calls (if possible) and conducting an extensive interview with managers, and selected sales reps so we address YOUR types of calls.

Workshop Details

-The date will be selected based on availability, between December 2009 and the end of 2010.

-The seminar will be held in the continental US

-Your donation includes the customization and delivery of the program, and the creation of your workbook materials. I will pay my own travel and lodging expenses.

-You will arrange for the seminar location, whether it be your own facility, or an off-site location.

-You will arrange for the printing of the workbook materials from the master I will provide you

-A full-day program is typically 8:30am- 3pm with a lunch break. We certainly can tailor a program to fit a shorter time period if you need it to fit a certain time slot.

-You may include as many participants as you would like.

-This is a program for in-house company sales reps, or members of an association, if that is the winning bidder.

-Audio or video recording of the program is not allowed, unless authorization is granted.
